Urine or Skunk Decontamination:
Remove excess soil, waste matter, animal carcass, etc. Mix 1 part Skunk Odor Control with 10 parts water. Locate contaminated areas with a black light or moisture detector. Apply by sprayer or wet fogger directly to the contaminated area. Allow 10 - 20 minutes dwell time. Clean textiles using the hot water extraction method.
Urine Decontamination on Oriental Rugs:
Pre-qualify with customer, urine may cause dye bleed, yellowing, or fiber damage. Vacuum. Saturate rug with plain water in a wash pit where the rug can lie flat. Mix 1 quart of Skunk Odor Control in 5 gallons of water for a 9 x 12 pile rug (adjust quantity for size of rug--approximately 1 quart Skunk Odor Control per 100 ft of rug). Pour about 1/3 of the mixture on the rug back and shampoo in. Flip the rug and pour the rest on the front and shampoo in. Add water so the rug is covered by 3" to 4" of water. Roll the face once and let the rug soak for an hour. Roll again and let soak for a second hour. Roll after 3 hours and at this time you can wash most rugs. Do a final flush on the rug and roll while water is running over the rug. It should rinse clear at this point and can be put through your rug washing process.
